R.E.M. Beauty Chapter 2 is officially out now. Ariana Grande’s makeup line shares a name with the singer’s song of the same title from her fourth album, Sweetener. Named after the phase of sleep during which we have our most creative, limitless and vivid dreams, the singer hopes to inspire beauty lovers to use her products to explore beauty.
The look of the R.E.M Beauty chapter 2 was inspired by Ariana’s 60’s retro futurism style. Each product comes in fresh and exciting packaging that is unlike any other on the market.
The makeup line is sold exclusively at Ulta Beauty and R.E.M. Beauty. With products ranging from $15 to $24, the makeup is not only accessible but also filled with high quality products.

Are you looking for a curated skin care routine for dry skin? Look no further. We have done all of the research on the products and key ingredients you need to make sure your skin is hydrated and glowing!
Your skin’s health is not only a matter of genetics but it is also the result of your daily habits. Developing a solid daily skincare routine provides you with the opportunity to not only care for yourself but to notice changes in yourself as well. The goal of a skin care routine is to upgrade your complexion and troubleshoot any problem areas through the daily application of various products. Below are suggestions for types of products and key ingredients for each stage of your skin care routine.
Cleansing is the first step in a skin care routine. Incorporate an oil cleanser or cleansing lotion for this step of your daily skincare routine for dry skin. Look for products including emollients which remove impurities and smoothen skin and such as glycerin or shea butter which remove impurities and moisturize skin. Glycerin is not only an emollient but is also a humectant, which is a substance that allows the skin to retain moisture.
Experts recommend starting with lukewarm water to open up your pores and then ending with cold water to close your pores, wake you up, and brighten and lighten your complexion. Incorporate this into your shower routine or at the sink.
This is a cream cleanser with glycerin. Vegan friendly!
BUY: Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil – $48 (click image below)
A 2 in 1 makeup remover and cleanser with the key ingredient camellia oil which is high in oleic acid. This product is super healthy for parched, dry complexions.
Toner is a lightweight liquid that has a consistency similar to water. It can be thought of as a supplement that delivers an extra shot of nutrients, helps other products absorb into the skin, and enhances complexion. Toner is also the second step to remove impurities after cleansing and provides an opportunity to add specific ingredients into your routine that are not included in your other products.
For a skin care routine for dry skin, it is important to use toners that add extra hydration or help create smoother skin. Toners that do this will also help to re-balance your skin’s pH level and moisture following cleansing. Here are some key ingredients to look out for:
Alpha and beta hydroxy acids remove dead skin, improve sun damaged skin, and minimize dullness
Hyaluronic acid boots hydration, seals in dewiness, and minimizes dullness
Rose water and green tea are anti-inflammatory and calm irritation and reduce redness
Vitamin E and C fights exposure to free radicals
Ensure that the product you purchase is alcohol-free because alcohol dries out the skin.
With the active ingredient glycolic acid, this product not only moisturizes as a humectant but also dissolves away dead cells leaving skin looking brighter and more radiant.
Serum is a heavily enriched liquid that is either filled with vitamins or ingredients that address specific skin care concerns. For dry skin, use an antioxidant serum (vitamens E, A, and C) to prevent collagen breakdown for the day. For nighttime, use a retinol serum.
Hyaluronic acid to seal in hydration
Vitamin C to brighten dull skin and decrease dark spots
Retinol, vitamin B3, peptides
Colloidal sulfur, niacinamide to calm redness and irritation and improve acne with antimicrobial effects

This is the perfect retinol serum for beginners with dry and sensitive skin.
Moisturizer is the foundation of good skincare and is the one product recommended by dermatologists for every skin type. You will want to have both a daytime and nighttime moisturizer. The daytime moisturizer not only keeps your skin hydrated but it also protects the skin from free radicals and UV damage that you may interact with during the day. Nighttime moisturizers on the other hand focus on repairing the damage you may have picked up from ingredients like retinol to speed cellular turnover and counteract dark spots. Another option is to use one moisturizer for both daytime and nighttime and supplement with additional products like a facial sunscreen or mask.
For dry skin, it is important to use an oil-based option that is heavier than a lotion.

5. Eye cream
Anti-aging eye cream with retinols are recommended for dry skin to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is beneficial for dark circles, adding plumpness, and glow. Caffeine-infused eye creams help to reduce puffininess as well as Vitamins C and E.
This product contains vitamin C and niacinamide to reduce dark circles, depuff, brighten, and hydrate.
BUY: MyCHELLE Dermaceuticals Perfect C Eye Cream – $27.70 on Amazon
This eye cream is perfect for addressing dark circles and puffiness with vitamin C and plant stem cells to reduce visible signs of aging and fine lines and wrinkles.
As with any new routine, skincare routines take time to adjust and see the benefits of the routine. It typically takes at least 6 weeks to notice a difference.
For multiple concerns, use multiple formulas for different areas. For example, use a vitamin C serum all over and then an anti-microbial for specific acne spots.
Don’t mix products. Instead, apply them one at a time.
Read the instructions. Allow the recommended time for drying and absorption for each product described on the label before moving to the next step in your routine. Review the label to make sure you are applying products at the correct frequency. Some are recommended once or twice a week, every other day, or every day. Some products may also be recommended for specific morning or evening use.
Awards season is in full swing and silver is trending. Here are the best silver 2022 red carpet gowns so far.
Alexandra Daddario – SAG Awards
Alexandra Daddario achieved classic Hollywood glamour at the 2022 SAG Awards. She wore a stunning draped metallic gown from Atelier Versace. The dress is a classic romanesque draped cut in a soft silver fabric. Gathered at the shoulders and plunging into a deep v, the dress then gathers again at the waist to reveal a thigh high slit just below.
Daddario’s deep brunette hair stood in stark contrast to her silver gown and was complemented by a dark lip. She wore her hair down in a side part with soft curls. She accessorized the look with art deco floral Debeers earrings and Christian Louboutin heels. This is undoubtedly one of the best of 2022 red carpet gowns.
She wore a stunning Tiffany & Co diamond necklace. The Flower and Leaves necklace is from Tiffany’s 2022 Blue Book Collection but was originally designed by Jean Schlumberger in 1958 who was a French designer that rose to prominence in New York after WWII. The necklace is a rare diamond only design by Schlumberger who traditionally used colored stones but is representative of his other designs with its gold tendrils that weave throughout the necklace.
Serena Williams – SAG Awards
Serena Williams wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown to the 2022 SAG awards to support the film King Richard. The gown is made of an eye-catching silver bustier bodysuit that is overlaid with a white draped sleeve and skirt. It looks very modern and athletic yet achieves a classic elegance.
She wore thin strappy Stuart Witzman heels. The Rodo clutch she carried matched perfectly to her dress with its silver rhinestones and heart-shaped design. She wore Gismondi 1754 jewels including a diamond tennis bracelet and diamond drop earrings.
This dramatic outfit was complimented by subtle nude makeup and natural curly hair that was drawn back by intricate braids.
Olivia Rodrigo attended her second Brit Awards this year and wore a shining Alexandre Vauthier gown that was completely covered in sequins with a fishtail of large chevrons.
The slip dress helped to create an ode to the ’90s complete with her Guiseppe Zanotti wedges, Djula and Poche rings, and Stefere earrings. Rodrigo styled her look with Alanis Morisette-style waves, a dark lip, and blush. She also had a beautiful silver smokey eye and finely drawn winged liner.
Honorable mention silver gowns Sandra Oh SAG and Venus and Serena Williams’ matching silver dresses at the Critics Choice Awards. The train on Serena’s dress was seriously impressive! With the Oscars and Emmy’s still on the schedule, we may have more silver dresses to add to the list soon. We will be on the lookout.
Looking to add shine back to your hair? And moisturize at the same time? A coconut oil hair mask could be a great option for you!
After months of cold winter weather, many of us are looking forward to Spring, warm weather, and sunshine. Staying inside during the winter often causes our hair to become dull due to a lack of sunlight. While too much sunlight can damage your hair, a small dose each day adds the perfect amount of gleam.
Other causes of dull hair could include using the wrong products for your hair type, overusing chemicals in your hair, and not getting enough nutrients in your diet. Lucky for us all, there are countless ways to get your hair back to its natural shine and glow.
Our hair mask today combines two all-purpose beauty ingredients: coconut oil and apple cider vinegar.
Benefits Of Coconut Oil For Hair
Using coconut oil as a hair mask can help moisturize and seal your hair. Research shows that more than any other natural oil, coconut helps to prevent protein loss. Additionally, applying oil to your hair before and after showering protects it from damage when it is wet (this is when your hair is most vulnerable to damage). Coconut oil can also help prevent sun damage, reduce hair loss, and treat dandruff.
With so many benefits, it makes sense to add coconut oil to your hair care routine.
Benefits Of Apple Cider Vinegar For Hair
Apple cider vinegar benefits the hair and scalp in a whole host of ways. First and foremost, it balances the pH levels of your hair and scalp which in turn closes the hair cuticle and makes your hair smoother, easier to detangle, shinier, and protects it from damage.
On top of this, apple cider vinegar cleanses the scalp by removing product build-up, reducing color-fading, and promotes a healthy scalp with its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
The Hair Mask Recipe
This is an incredibly simple recipe that will moisturize and deep cleanse your hair.
2 Tbs of coconut oil
1 Tbs of apple cider vinegar
Make sure the coconut oil is in liquid form (heat if necessary) and then combine it in a bowl with the apple cider vinegar. Mix the oil and vinegar together well. You will see beautiful golden bubbles!
When the mixture is cool, apply the mask to dry or damp sections of your hair in sections. Cover your hair with the mixture from root to tip.
Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, then follow up with a shower and your normal shampoo and conditioner routine.
Hair Mask Results
I was so pleasantly surprised by the immediate results of this hair mask. While brushing my wet hair and looking in the mirror, my hair was visibly brighter and shinier on a whole new level. My hair was easily detangled and only needed a few strokes of the hairbrush. It was incredibly soft and smooth. Softer and smoother than it has been in months. I highly recommend trying out this hair mask. The 10 minutes is highly worth it.
We learn beauty trends today from fashion magazines, influencers, and celebrities but many popular looks can date back as far as 6,000 years ago. Some of the biggest trends in beauty originated within ancient civilizations and have evolved over time re-emerging in their modern forms to adorn women all over the world. From winged eyeliner to red lips, these beauty trends have taken over the world time and time again. At this rate, these trends may last forever!
Winged eyeliner has transcended makeup trend to become a makeup staple. This look has been around since Ancient Egypt. Not only was this a fashion choice, but it was also believed to ward off evil spirits. Upper eyelids were painted using black kohl and lower eyelids were painted using green malachite. The trend also became part of the Geishas’ immaculate makeup routine in the 1800s in Japan.
The modern winged eyeliner or cat-eye re-emerged in the 1920s during ‘Tut-mania’ with the discovery of King Tut’s Tomb which put this style back into public consciousness. In the 1950s liquid eyeliner was invented during the mass commercialization of makeup and the look became a worldwide phenomenon, especially among Hollywood stars like Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Audrey Hepburn. Today, winged eyeliner is more popular than ever, especially with almond eyes.
Humans have been changing their looks, making bold statements, and hiding their greys using hair dye since the beginning of time. During the classical period, Roman emperors were famous for dying their hair blonde, Egyptians commonly dyed their hair black using henna, and European tribes dyed their hair different colors to show differences in rank. The first modern hair dye was surprisingly purple! In the 1800s English Chemist William Henry Perkin accidentally created the first synthesized dye while trying to develop a cure for Malaria. The dye was eventually developed into the first hair color formula by the founder of L’Oreal, Eugene Schueller, in 1907. Since then, women and men now have access to every hair color possibility. One of the most famous hair dye trends, platinum blonde, was ignited with the release of the Jean Harlow film, Platinum Blonde.
Painting nails has long been a symbol of self-care and expression. The history of painted nails originates in India with Henna and then spread to China where it was originally a status symbol among the elite. Like every other beauty trend on the list, painted nails also made an appearance in ancient Egypt on Cleopatra’s hands and eventually arrived in Europe during the Renaissance. Unsurprisingly, coloring and bejeweling hit a high in 18th-century French courts among the likes of Marie Antionette. In 1878, Mary Cobb brought the mani and pedi to the US when she opened the first nail salon in Manhattan. The modern liquid form was developed in France in the 1920s by Michelle Ranard who worked for the company that would become Revlon. Now nail polish can be found in almost every color!
We call red lips timeless for a reason! Red lips first took the fashion world by storm in ancient Mesopotamia where women crushed red rocks into a paste that they applied to their lips. Ancient Egyptians used red beatles to do the same. In the Middle Ages, makeup was frowned upon until Elizabeth I began to rock it as part of her iconic style.
Red lips undeniably make a bold statement and they have carried a variety of cultural meanings depending on the time in history and the region of the world. From high social status to low morality, this makeup trend has seen more ups and downs than any other trend on this list. The modern red lip was repopularized with the suffragist movement in the 20s, became one of the sole makeup products used during WWII, and was part of the bombshell look of the 50s. Today, the red lip seems to make a “return” every season and is a staple on runways and fashion magazines.
Kiss & Smink: The Everything is a multi-purpose triple threat cream stick that can be used on your cheeks, lips, and eyes. The stick is a sheer warm coral pink with shimmery golden specks. It is easy-to-use, mistake-proof, and can be applied with or without tools. With so many possibilities for looks this product can create, it could be added to your list of makeup essentials. Check out all the ways this stick can be used to create a warm, spring/summer look!
To apply The Everything stick as blush, draw a line along your cheekbone. Start from the tip of your cheekbone at the outer edge of your eye and finish at the hairline right before your ear. You can use your finger to blend the color into your skin or use a beauty blender or brush. I personally enjoy using a brush to get an even spread and soft look. To create more of a summery look, use your brush to take the color up the side of your face alongside your eye. I’m currently using a matte cream foundation and using this on my cheeks as blush adds a nice dewy look.
To use The Everything stick on your eyes, apply the color to your lids. Once again, you can use your finger to blend the color into your skin or you can use an eyeshadow brush to gently pat the product into your lid. You can also use a windshield wiper motion to blend the cream upwards into your crease. Because this is a lighter and brighter color, it can also be paired with darker colors and used as a highlighting option at the corner of your eye or on your bottom lid. This is a great option for almond eyes!
The lighter shade and shimmers in The Everything stick creates more of a frosted lip look. To tone it down a bit, apply a darker shade of lip gloss on top. You can also pair it with a darker lip liner and use it to create a subtle highlight in the middle of your lips. Use lip gloss to gently blend the two colors together.
Create a monochromatic look by using the stick on your cheeks, eyes, and lips all at once!
Beauty blenders are my new obsession! I have always used brushes to apply my foundation but thought I would branch out and try the beauty blenders that I have seen all over YouTube and Instagram. I may be a complete convert and now consider them to be a makeup essential. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my brushes, but I enjoyed the process of using a beauty blender so much that they are most definitely going to be worked into my routine from now on. If you have never used a beauty blender, I highly recommend trying one. Not only do they apply foundation and concealer evenly but using them is also a super enjoyable experience.
What Is The Difference Between A Beauty Blender and Brush?
What is the difference between using a beauty blender and a brush to apply foundation? Think of it as the difference between airbrushing and painting. The beauty blender, like airbrushing, creates a gentle, light, even look that you can use to gradually build up to full coverage. This application method uses more product.
Brushing, on the other hand, uses less product. Like painting, how much you spread out the foundation determines your coverage. A flat brush will give you more of the painting effect or you can also buff on your foundation using a round brush and a round patting motion. I really enjoy the buffing approach because I feel like it is the easiest way to get the foundation absorbed into the skin.
Another option is to use both to get the best of both worlds! I have absolutely loved doing a combo and exploring different options and encourage you to do the same to find what works best for you.
BUY: The AOA Studio Beauty Makeup Sponge Blender Multiple Combo Set for $9.99 is a great option to get you started! This will allow you to try out different sizes and shapes to learn what you like. Click the image below.
The first step to applying foundation using a beauty blender is to use a primer. If you are like me and tend to err on the side of minimalism, you may be thinking, “Is this necessary?” And I say yes. Why would you want to miss out on the pleasures of additional skincare benefits and the joy of applying something so satisfying to your skin? You only live once so why not make your makeup routine as enjoyable as possible! Also, primers help to create a smooth surface for your makeup that helps it to absorb into the skin, enhances full coverage, and keeps it in place all day long.
BUY: Laura Mercier Primer
The Laura Mercier Primer is a great option for all skin types for $50. Click on the image below.
For the beauty blender to be able to really do its magic, it is important that it is wet. It is recommended to use filtered water for this step so you are not putting any unwanted chemicals on your face. Makeup artists say it is best to use warm water in the winter and cool water in the summer. The warm water will not only make you feel warm and cozy but will also help warm up your makeup so it is more malleable when you are ready to apply it to the skin. The cool water in the summer is just meant to be refreshing!
You will want to completely saturate your beauty blender in water so it expands to twice its original size and then squeeze out all of the excess water. The end result should be damp instead of dripping wet. Your beauty blender will now have the perfect amount of moisture and be extra fluffy.
This is the most exciting part of the whole experience and what makes it truly unique from other makeup applicators. Put a dab of foundation on the back of your hand and then dip your beauty blender into it. Then, gently bounce the foundation onto your face until you achieve full coverage. No dragging is necessary. The bounce will do all of the work for you and will help to make the foundation absorb into your skin. This is key to avoiding the cakey look and for your foundation to stay put all day. The end result will be a beautifully even coverage that will leave you incredibly satisfied. Use the same process to apply your concealer.
How to Clean Your Beauty Blender
Beauty blenders need to be cleaned every day they are used. This will help you avoid putting bacteria on your face, especially around your eyes, nose, and mouth. Your immune system will thank you!
There are several ways that you can wash your beauty blender. The first option is to use soap and water. You can buy a liquid blender cleanser or use a gentle soap like castille soap. Massage the soap gently into the beauty blender until you see the color start to come up. Then rinse the blender out until the water is clear. Repeat again as needed.
Another option is to place your beauty blender in a bowl of water and soap so it is completely covered and place it in the microwave for 60 seconds. Let the water cool before removing the beauty blender. The water will be filled with all the colors of your makeup palette and the blender will be perfectly clean.
The final option is to use oil first and then soap and water for a double cleanse. Your makeup is oil-based and the easiest way to break up oil is to use oil. You can gently massage oil into your beauty blender to loosen the makeup, then use soap and water as described above.
Although cleaning your blender will make it fresh and pretty again, eventually it will wear down and need to be replaced. Makeup artists recommend replacing it every 3 months.
BUY: The Blend & Cleanse Set
The Blend & Cleanse Set has everything you need. It comes with a pink blender, liquid blendercleanser and a silicone scrub mat for $24.
BUY: Dr. Bronner’s Castille Soap
For an alternative to the beauty blender cleanser above, you can use Dr. Bronner’s Castille Soap. This soap can be used for almost anything around the house including body wash, shampoo, dish soap, etc. for $15. Click the image below.
Zendaya has become an absolute fashion icon and she has not disappointed in recent red carpets. Not only are her looks incredibly chic but they are also on theme with the movie or TV show she is representing. With the help of her incredibly talented stylist, Law Roach, she curates looks that include subtle or not-so-subtle nods to the overall vibe or characters of her films and shows. This creates memorable fashion moments that are generating as much buzz as the blockbusters she is representing.
Zendaya delivered one of her most well-known thematic looks at the Venice Film Festival in September 2021 while representing Dune. She wore a couture Balmain gown that was crafted from leather using an exact model of her bust much like the pink breastplate dress from Tom Ford that went viral at the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2020.
With this ensemble, Zendaya and her stylist were looking to recreate the wet look of an Italian marble statue. The color of the dress was dyed to perfectly match the color of her skin, which also happens to be an extremely “Dune” color. The combination of the fit and fabric creates the illusion of a dress that is barely there, structured, and flowy all at the same time. It does not leave much room for the imagination and is a masterpiece of fashion.
The gown is sleeveless with a rounded neckline and includes draping across the chest and down from the waist. A thigh high slit highlighted Zendaya’s lengthy legs. She finished the look with a middle-parted curly wet hair style, stiletto nude pumps, a bronze smokey eye, as well as a 93-carat diamond and emerald necklace from Bvlgari’s Magnifica collection.
Let’s take a minute for this showstopping necklace. The focal point is a cabochon-cut Colombian emerald that is resting in the jaw of a coiled snake which is encrusted with pave-set diamonds, emerald cabochons, and diamond baguettes. The necklace is handmade and took a team of artisans a total of 1,899 hours to create (nearly 2.5 months). The design represents eternal life and feminine seduction: very fitting for Chani, the character Zendaya portrays in Dune.
Other memorable moments where Zendaya’s thematic looks really impressed include an all-Valentino lineup with the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere’s custom beaded spider web gown, the green goblin inspired purple and green suit that she wore on the Graham Norton Show, and the black and white striped vintage gown she wore at the Euphoria season 2 premier earlier this year. According to IMDb, her next big premier will be Dune 2, so the world will need to wait a minute before seeing her next inspired look.
Colorful eyes are making a comeback in 2022 but they are showing up in some exciting and unusual hues. Here are my favorite looks so far. Each is incredibly accessible for beauty lovers of all skill levels and are great for day-to-day wear.
Neutrals With Royal Blue
Blue is back in 2022 in a variety of ways. The color dominated fashion week with looks ranging from 80’s full lid coverage to a steel blue smokey eye. My favorite is Charlotte Tilbury’s royal blue eyeliner matched with neutrals in the look below. This is a fun way to electrify your eyes. I recommend trying the blue liner with terracotta and khaki colors for a really unique and updated look.
Loreal Paris Matte Blue Liquid Eyeliner – Amazon $12
Warm and Glittery
I absolutely adore this trend. Warm and glittery is everything I want my makeup to be every day. This look pairs a sweet peach with silver glitter. Glitter face may have been a thing during the autumn and winter fashion weeks but I prefer this version of glitter. It is much more feminine and approachable.
Colour Pop’s Truly Madly Deeply – Amazon $35
Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow – Amazon $27
Neon Green Is Officially Trending
Neon Green is officially trending. Who would have thought this color would make such a widespread splash across runways but green is in. And makeup artists found so many fantastic ways to make this unusual color work. Emma Chamberlain’s Met Gala makeup is by far my favorite. This green eyeliner has glow-worm vibes and really shines in a eye-catching way.
NYX Studio Liquid Liner – Amazon $5.36
Panotone Color of the Year: Very Peri
For the Pantone Color of the Year 2022, the global authority has introduced a “dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone” called Very Peri. The Pantone Color Institute created the leading color matching system allowing designers, marketers, creators, and brands the opportunity to work together to build a strong color presence. Every year the Institute selects a color that affects not only design but also consumerism. I absolutely love how Very Peri is used on Zendaya’s under-eye liner and highlight. This is a unique and beautiful way to create a bolder look using soft colors.
Clinique All About Shadow Eye Duo Shade Mauve and Brandied Plum – Amazon $31
Almond-shaped eyes are both stunning and alluring. Long considered the “ideal” eye shape, they are feminine and can pull off almost any makeup look. Knowing the shape of your eyes will guide how you design and apply your eyeshadow and liner. With the right techniques and styles, you can really enhance your eyes to look more alive and enchanting.
How do you know if you have them? Take out a mirror and gaze into your own eyes. You will see a visible crease when looking at your lids. You will also notice that the iris of your eyes touches white on both the top and bottom. The outer corners of your eyes will also turn slightly upward.
Like I mentioned above, almond-eyes look great with so many looks. Here are just a few to get you started. I recommend playing around and trying them all. You can also get creative and combine them. Have fun!
Use a Light Color on The Bottom Water-line
This is a super simple way to bring a vibrant energy to your face and brighten up your whole look. I’m obsessed. Adding a light-colored liner to your bottom waterlines really helps to open up your eyes, make them look bigger, and give your face a sparkle of light. White is always a great option, and totally on trend for 2022. This look also is amazing with light colors like light blue, pale purple, peach, etc. Experiment with it and see what you really love.
This is a much more daring and dramatic look! You can wing your eyeshadow out with precision and sharp lines (it helps to use tape to get those fine edges) or for a more gentle look, you can softly brush the eyeshadow outwards and blend.
The Classic Cat-eye
MEOW! The classic cat-eye is both retro and romantic. The placement and shape of your eyeliner is key to making your eyes look larger instead of smaller. To do this, and really accentuate the almond shape, keep the line thin the first 2/3 of the eye. Then you can really add some weight by thickening the line and making a semi-dramatic wing. Follow the natural crease you get from winking for a more subtle wing. Something else the look above does, which is beautiful, is to add shadow under the eye. This combo is amazing!
Cut The Crease!
This look can be super subtle or dramatic depending on the colors you use or the contrast between them. This is one of the techniques I enjoy experimenting with the most because there is a lot of room for creativity. The look above uses a solid eyeshadow in a bright color that is distinct from the natural skin tone. If you are looking to create a precise and expertly refined line, use tape! To create a more blended look, use more natural tones or colors with slightly different hues. You can also play around with texture to create this look by contrasting glitters or metallics with matte shadows. Really, there are so many possibilities when you cut the crease.
Brighten the Inner Corners
This is one of my absolute all-time favorite things to do with my eyeshadow. It is difficult for me not to do this in every single look that I put together. Adding a light color to the inner corner of your eye creates magic, unlike any other makeup trick. It not only opens the eye but also helps to make you look more awake. Who doesn’t want that? My go-to is usually a pink shimmer but it also looks great in matte as seen above. As long as the color is light, your eyes will look bright. Yes, I rhymed.
